NEW VIDEO: Kano, Fatman Scoop and Busy Signal

I am very excited about this next video that I am posting up on UrbanVoice UK.  One of my favourite artists Kano has teamed up with Fatman Scoop and Busy Signal to produce a heavyweight bashment style track and Kano definitely goes in hard showing that he has not lost his ability to flow well on a track.  Kano is no stranger to collaborations with bashment artists having already worked with Aidonia and Vybz Kartel.  This track 'Wine de Best' is already sending the clubs crazy and I guess as the lyrics suggest girls in the club will want to show off who can 'wine de best'.
Will this collaboration with Fatman Scoop give Kano some well deserved recognition in the US? I guess we'll just have to wait and find out.

I hope you like this track as much as I do.  Here is the official video for 'Wine de Best' featuring Kano, Fatman Scoop and Busy Signal.

MOBO Awards Winners List

The MOBO Awards took place on Wednesday earlier this week.  UrbanVoice UK had earlier posted who it thought will and should deserve to win.  Click here to view this post.

Here is a list of the MOBO Awards 2011 Winners along with some of my personal opinions.

Best UK Act in association with Capital FM
Jessie J - WINNER!
No surprise here it's in association with Capital FM - personally Adele should have won this because of her huge success worldwide.  Adele is really flying the flag for Britain at the moment and you will hear her album playing where ever you go in Europe. Oh well, Congratulations to Jessie J.

Best Newcomer in association with Lebara Mobile – voted for by Facebook

Jessie J - WINNER!
I would have liked to see Wretch 32 to win this but Jessie J does also deserve this award.

Best UK Hip Hop/Grime Act
Tinie Tempah - WINNER!
As I predicted and thank god! Congratulations to Tinie Tempah!

Best Video
Tinchy Stryder & Dappy 'Spaceship' - WINNER!
I'm glad that Jessie J didn't win this award.  I am happy to see it go to the hard working Tinchy Stryder and Dappy.

Best International Act
Rihanna - WINNER!
Yep, ok, fine - she has a lot of fans out there!

Best Song In association with PRS for Music
Jessie J - 'Do It Like A Dude' - WINNER!
I guess this category was only ever between Jessie J and Adele.  'Do It Like A Dude' was a big track at the beginning of the year and Jessie J did shake up the British music scene when this first came out.  However, a lot people I know are disagreeing with her winning this award and are saying that she's all hype and doesn't deserve all the recognition. What do think?

Best Album
Jessie J - Who You Are - WINNER!
I'm not entirely convinced that this award went to the right person.  I really like Tinie Tempah's album 'Disc-Overy' and Katy B's album 'On A Mission' as I think it's intelligent and refreshing but I guess she's too ordinary in comparison or doesn't attract the same kind of media attention, right?!

Best UK R&B/Soul Act

Adele WINNER!
Yep, well deserved!

Best Reggae
Alborosie - WINNER!

Best Jazz Act
Kairos 4tet - WINNER!

Best African Act
Wizkid - WINNER!

Best Gospel Act

Triple O - WINNER!

Outstanding Contribution to Music
Boyz II Men
Well deserved! Such a talented group.
